Things to do at Shuttleworth review
Shuttleworth is a number of visitor attractions which you can visit with just one ticket. The Shuttleworth Collection is a museum packed full of aeroplanes and automobiles located at Shuttleworth, the Old Warden Aerodrome near Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. The variety of old and well-preserved aircraft make it one of the most prestigious aeronautical museums in the world. The collection was first founded back in 1928.
The site has around 60 acres to explore and included in your visit are six aircraft and vehicle hangars that make up the Shuttleworth collection. Plus the Swiss garden, north park and their play area. They also host a number of special events throughout the year. There is an airfield for small planes so you may see some take off and land during your visit. The Swiss Garden is a lovely place to walk around with lakes, grottos and more. You might even spot some peacocks.
The play area is huge! There are lots of individual play areas and there’s plenty to climb, slide and play on. Most of the play equipment is made of metal and much of it is quite unique in design. Plus there is a Grade II* Jacobethan style house that you can explore on certain days.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places still require you to pre-book online in advance.
