Things to do at Tropical Butterfly House Wildlife And Falconry Centre review
This is a lovely wildlife park near Sheffield, south Yorkshire. There is plenty to see and do there.
Indoors they have a wonderful tropical butterfly house. You can now purchase food to take in to feed their Lorikeets, this is quite an experience! In spring until autumn the house is always full of butterflies flying all around you. Other animals to find inside include a snake, bats hanging from the roof, turtles, other birds and reptiles.
Outdoors they have other animals to find such as farmyard animals, Lemurs which you can go inside their enclosure during feeding time, meerkats and more. There is a trail around the park with dinosaurs that make noises when you press a button, plus displays that shoot water. We love the wilderness walk with wallabies and the witches house that can be found on the trail. The bird displays are excellent and well worth watching.
Play wise they have peddle bikes and coin-operated quad bikes plus a ride on area with sand for toddlers. There is an outdoor play area which has been nicely themed. Behind the play areas, you will find picnic benches, hammocks, outdoor games and a big sand and water play area that I recommend you bring a change of clothes for. They have tractor rides at weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places still require you to pre-book online in advance.
