Wicksteed Park

Wicksteed Park is home to a large park in Kettering, Northamptonshire which includes a large amusement park in its grounds. Entrance to Wicksteed Park and the playground is free. You do have to pay if you want to go on any of the rides and/or park your car.
What is there to do at Wicksteed Park?
The theme park is almost 100 years old. They almost closed for good because of the pandemic so any support will be welcomed. Wicksteed Park today is much more than a traditional playground. It is full of exciting family-friendly rides some of which were invented by the founder of the park, Charles Wicksteed himself. These include his famous water chute and the way many modern log flumes are made today.
Some of the rides have a height limit. Rides at the park include a carousel, sway rider swings, a rollercoaster, a clown coaster, cups and saucers and dodgems. Plus a Ladybird coaster, monorail, Mr Wicksteed’s cars and a log flume. Other attractions include a railway crazy golf, an Astro slide and a traditional playground. Plus a treetop walk, sand and water play. There are also animals, you can see and meet.

Is there food and drink available?
There are a number of places to purchase food and drinks including restaurants, cafes and kiosks. You are welcome to bring a picnic.
What are the main things to do?
Theme park with a number of family-friendly rides, adventure playground, crazy golf, boating and more. There are toilets and a number of places to eat.
What are the ticket prices?
The park is free, and you can pay for individual rides or purchase ride wristbands. Wristbands are around £20 per person and under 90cm are free with a paying adult.

There is parking and charges apply.
When are they open?
Wickstead Park is open for most of the year and some rides and attractions are seasonal. For up-to-date opening times please visit their website.
Dog friendly?
Dogs are welcome in the park as long as they remain on a lead at all times. They are able to enter the play and ride areas as long as they remain on their lead at all times. Dogs can even go on the train. The only areas they cannot enter are animal areas such as Wicky’s Farmyard and Meerkat Manor.
