The length of time you spend at Zip World Fforest near Betws-y-Coed in North Wales depends on how many activities you take part in. This is a high adrenalin adventure day out with plenty of fun-filled activities.

Things to do at Zip World Fforest

We visited because I’d had my eye for some time on the Zip Fforest coaster. It was a good first introduction to the place for my 7-year-old and I can’t wait for us to return. Children 3 and over must ride with an adult, 9 and over can ride by themselves. You sit in a small toboggan that takes you up and up through the forest. You are then released down a one-kilometre track and you are in charge of the breaking. You get three runs and you can even hire a camera for the last run and take home a video souvenir of your run. It’s so much fun!

Other things to do include Treetop nets – 18 metres off the ground are 250 metres of net walkways where you can bounce to your heart’s content. It is currently Europe’s longest net walkway and great fun for all the family. Suitable from 3 years up. Certain ages require adult attention. Sessions are for one hour.

Zip Safari 2 – this is a high off-the-ground obstacle course with 21 zip lines and many challenging obstacles. For those age 9 and over. The course is 565 metres long and a session lasts for 3 hours.

Skyride 2 – Up to 5 people can ride together. It is basically a giant swing that triggers you up to soaring heights with fantastic views. Riders must be 9 years old with a minimum height of 1.5 metres. A session lasts for 30 minutes.

Tree hoppers – This is a great course in the trees for kids aged 5 and over. It’s an adventure course that isn’t too high off the ground (7 metres) and is challenging but not too challenging if you know what I mean. There are two courses with 12 zip lines and 22 elements and a session lasts for an hour.

Plummet 2 – This is a 100-foot ‘fall’ through a trap door. Do you dare? Minimum age of 7 and height of 1.2 metres. Duration of session 20 minutes.
