The Totem Friendly Hotel is a ski-in ski-out hotel on a blue run. It is funky and modern in design with colourful and cosy touches. They are located just a 5-minute walk from the resort centre, a 1-minute walk from the nearest lift and ski school meeting point. Plus a 2-minute walk to the nursery slopes and ski bus stop.
Crystal Childcare can be booked at the nearby Le Flaine Hotel for children aged 6 months to 8 years. The hotel offers various facilities such as an outdoor hot tub, a spa with two saunas, an arcade room, a bar, a lounge, and a cosy fireplace.
For skiers, there is a boot room with lockers and a heated boot rack plus there is a ski shop.

Hotel Alparena – La Rosière, France
The Hotel Alparena is also a ski-in ski-out and it is located 5-minute walk from the lift and ski school. It is also a 5-minute walk to the ski bus stop and the nursery slopes. The rooms are modern in design and all have balconies.

The Hotel Folie Douce is located in the famous Palace of Chamonix and has a great position overlooking the town. It’s a ski-in, ski-out hotel and the Savoy lift is just metres away. The hotel shuttle can take beginners to your lessons and it is just a short walk into the resort centre.
Guests can enjoy singers, dancers and DJs in the evenings and there is a spa for relaxing after a day on the slopes. Their outdoor pool has stunning views of Mont Blanc. Plus they run a kid’s club with a range of indoor and outdoor activities.
In the hotel, there are four a la carte restaurants with a buffet breakfast served for guests in the morning. Skiers will appreciate the boot room with lockers and the heated boot rack. There is also an in-house ski shop.

Located opposite the ski lift is the Ecrin Blanc Hotel. It is a ski-in ski-out resort and just a 5-minute walk and then an escalator to the resort centre, ski hire shop and the ski school meeting point. There is also a ski bus stop outside.
The hotel has a chic and modern mountain chalet feel to it with a wood-clad and stone exterior. There is a free hotel-run kid’s club which has a packed programme of sports, games and activities.
There are three bars and two lounges plus a sauna, steam room, hot tub and fitness room. Kids also have a play area and for skiers, there is a boot room with lockers and heated boot racks. The hotel is also connected to the Aquamotion water park and spa.

MMV Hotel Plagne 2000 – La Plagne, France
At the MMV Hotel Plagne 2000, you can ski straight to and from the door on a blue run. It is also located opposite the ski school meeting point and a ski bus stop. The hotel is a 10-minute walk to the Telemetro cable car and Plagne centre.
For children aged 6 months-4 years and 4 to 8 years, there is Crystal Childcare. Families can have fun in the games room and there is a wellness area with a sauna and steam room. Other facilities include a bar, sun terrace, restaurant and a lobby lounge with a fireplace.

The Hotel Alpina in Obergurgl is a ski-in ski-out hotel on a blue run. It overlooks the village and if you are just starting out the hotel has a private shuttle to take you to the nursery slopes a few minutes away.
There is an indoor swimming pool with spa and wellness facilities including saunas one of which is for families, steam room and hot tubs. Located in front of the nearest lift and ski school meeting point is the Alpen-Wellness Resort Hochfirst. It has been run by the Fender family for over 80 years and has been long established as one of Austria’s finest. This is a ski-in ski-out hotel.
The 5-star hotel is luxurious and beautifully decorated throughout. They are located just a short walk from the Festkogl gondola and it is one of the best hotels for families on our list. There is a hotel-run kid’s club for children aged 3-10 and a heated outdoor pool with panoramic views.
You also have a spa to relax in with an indoor pool, a range of saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs. Their junior suites can sleep up to 4 people and they have a range of other rooms available.

Another ski-in ski-out hotel on a blue run is the Sentido Alpenhotel Kaiserfels. It is in a quiet spot away from the town centre which is a 25-minute walk away. There is a ski bus stop outside the hotel and it is next to a gondola.
Rooms in the original wing are of a traditional style and in the newer wing of this 4* hotel, there are bright and spacious rooms. Their superior twin rooms can sleep up to 4 people. The hotel has a wellness centre with an indoor swimming pool, 2 saunas, a steam room, gym and relaxation areas.
There is a kids’ club for children aged 4-12 and a kids’ disco 6 evenings a week. You can book their babysitting service, for which there is a charge.

Another ski-in ski-out hotel on our list is the Hotel Stadt Wein. It’s located just a 3-minute walk to the City Express gondola, 6 6-minute walk to the resort centre and less than a minute walk to the ski bus stop.
The hotel is on a hill overlooking Zell am See and it has a modern feel to it with traditional touches. You can relax in the spa with a sauna and steam room plus there is a heated outdoor pool.
Also at the Stadt Wein, there is a games room, a restaurant, a bar and a small petting zoo with rabbits, chickens, sheep, goats and donkeys. You can even hire a sledge for free!

Hotel Planibel – La Thuile, Italy
With a ski-in ski-out sport next to the main gondola and chairlift the Hotel Planibel is a great choice for families. It has lots of on-site facilities plus its own Crystal Childcare. The hotel is also just a 2-minute walk to the ski school meeting point.
There is a huge indoor swimming pool and sauna. You have shops to browse plus bars for an apres drink. The hotel also has a range of restaurants, cafes and a mini-market where you can purchase drinks and snacks.
Childcare is available for ages 6 months to 4 years and 4-8 years. This must be booked in advance. Their quad rooms are handy for families as they can sleep up to 4 people.

Right on the ski slopes with a ski-in ski-out location is the Bad Moos Dolomites Spa Resort. Located in Sesto village it is also just a 2-minute walk to a ski bus stop and the train station. The resort centre is a short bus ride away and the hotel provides a shuttle to the ski school meeting point.
The on-site spa has a sauna, a steam room, a hot tub indoor and outdoor swimming pool. For children, there is a kids’ pool and a play area. Skiers have a boot room with ski lockers and a heated boot rack.
Families will love their junior suites that can sleep up to 4 people. Rooms are sleek and stylish and all have a private balcony that enjoys the mountain views.

Hotel Grand Paradiso – Passo Tonale, Italy
A great hotel for families with a ski-in ski-out location is the Hotel Grand Paradiso. To hit the slopes you simply walk up the steps behind the hotel, click into your skis and set off. For those still learning it’s an easy 10-minute walk to the ski school.
The chairlift is just a 1 minute walk away and the gondola is also close by. The resort centre is a 10-minute walk away. With a mix of rooms, you can take your pick from room types. Many of their rooms can sleep up to 4 or 5 people.
There is an extra charge for guests to use some of the facilities including the indoor pool and the spa with a hot tub, a Finnish sauna, steam baths and more. For children, there is Crystal Childcare which is for ages 6 months to 4 years and 4-8 years. The hotel also has a games room and a heated boot room with lockers.

Panorama Hotel – Levi, Lapland Finland
With panoramic views of the resort the Panorama Hotel also enjoys a ski-in ski-out location next to the gondola. There are two buildings here the main hotel and the Levi Chalet Apartments. The facilities are all in the main hotel which has a large sauna with panoramic views of the mountain.
If you want to head down into Levi you can catch the gondola or ski down to the bottom. When you are ready to come back up you can hop back on the gondola or take a taxi. The hotel is also next to a children’s ski lift. For skiers, there is a boot room with lockers and an in-house ski shop.
