We love ice cream and we especially love spending some time at a nice ice cream parlour or ice cream farm. In this round-up post, I have included some great ice-cream parlours in Yorkshire all with something extra to do there other than just eat wonderful ice cream. These are all perfect for families.
A lot of the following ice cream farms and parlours are seasonal. Please check their website or Facebook page before leaving to see if they are open.
Beacon Hill Farm Ice-Cream, Whitby
All of our ice cream is made right here on our farm just outside of Whitby. We use fresh whole milk, double cream and the finest ingredients to create our mouth-watering flavours. No artificial flavours or colourings! We use natural fruit pastes for delicious ice cream! We have a large range of flavours that is constantly changing so keep checking back for any new ones!
Beacon Hill Farm
Outside there is a new play area for the kids plus an indoor bouncy castle. You can even take your tent and go camping (with or without electric). There’s a large field where you can sit and enjoy an ice cream or a light meal from their tearoom. They also have an excellent free trail in the woodland.

Billy Bob’s Parlour, Skipton
Go old school with ice cream staples like Vanilla and Mint Choc Chip or pick from high-falutin’ flavours like Key Lime Pie, Rainbow Sherbet or Cotton Candy; there’s nearabout 30 or so on offer. Pile ’em high on a cone, or push the boat out with a decadent sundae, we’ve all manner of homemade sauces and sprinkles that your taste buds’ll surely thank you for!
Billy Bob’s Parlour
There is an outdoor kiosk or you can reserve a table in their diner where you can enjoy all manner of American-themed food. There is a fun-themed wooden outdoor play area. They have lots of different play structures such as a fire truck, ark, train and more. Play is limited to one hour and each child will be given a wristband. There are also two large indoor play barns with swings over straw bales, slides and more.

Birchfield Ice Cream Farm, Harrogate
Birchfield farm is a picturesque working farm nestled in the valley of Nidderdale, North Yorkshire in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is home to our herd of Jersey cows whose rich milk & cream is used to make our delicious homemade Ice cream.
The Jersey Barn Café & Ice cream parlour offers a range of hot and cold food and specials on the board daily. Farmers and Young farmers breakfast, Ham & Egg or Pie of the day, children’s menu also available. Cakes, Sundaes, waffles and a large selection of homemade Ice cream made on our farm.
Birchfield Ice-Cream
You can also see a herd of Gloucestershire Old Spot pigs and British Saddleback pigs. When in season you can pick your own strawberries. From late July until early September, they also have a maize maze with outdoor animal pens, pedal karts and seating. There is also a cafe. They have other events throughout the year which they will announce on their website.

Brymor Ice-Cream, Masham
Situated at High Jervaulx Farm in the rolling hills of lower Wensleydale, our Parlour and Café have become a popular stop for passing visitors and locals alike.
With over 25 flavours of ice cream and sorbets on offer, it may take a few minutes to choose! Once you’ve decided on a flavour (or two!) sit back and enjoy the Yorkshire Dales countryside in a beautiful setting. We have loads of outdoor space for the little ones to let off steam in the garden play area.

There is a heated indoor play barn. This has a bouncy castle, giant Jenga and a few other play items. There is also an outdoor play area with mostly wooden play equipment and peddle tractors.

Mr Moo’s Ice-Cream Parlour, near Hornsea
Welcome to Mr Moo’s! Visit our famous ice cream parlour and cafe serving delicious sundaes, home made lunches, morning coffee or afternoon tea – we are ideally situated on the beautiful Yorkshire coast near the pretty seaside towns of Hornsea and Bridlington. Take a stroll down to the beach before or after visiting us, or why not come and stay on our caravan site?

We are located in a small village called Dungworth in Sheffield which is just outside the peak district and is classified as an area of outstanding natural beauty. You can come up to the farm for an ice cream cone or an ice cream sundae! Sit in our ice cream parlour, or on one of our benches and enjoy the view. Or just pop in and pick up some ice cream in a tub for your tea.

Here at The Pavilion ice cream parlour, tearooms and crazy golf we have a mouth watering range of icecreams, icecream sundaes, homemade cakes and much more! Come and enjoy a light lunch followed by some yummy ice cream and a game on crazy golf on our 18 hole course!

You may have already figured it out but as well as ice cream and other food they also have an 18-hole crazy golf course. When they are operating normally they also have Mad Hatter tea parties, what fun!
