The National Fairground Museum at Statfold Country Park offers a unique and nostalgic experience for visitors of all ages. The museum features eight beautifully restored vintage fairground rides, each available for guests to enjoy and relive the magic of traditional funfairs. Alongside the rides, there are two classic prize stalls and a charming vintage arcade filled with old-style two-pence machines and “Over the Edge” games, creating an atmosphere that blends history, fun, and family entertainment.

Ride tokens are required and can be purchased from reception, while the arcade operates using coins. Change machines are available, though cash machines are not currently provided. Safety and comfort are key considerations at the museum, with height restrictions in place for some rides. For example, the Ghost Train has a minimum height requirement of one metre for unaccompanied children, and the Dodgems require a height of 1.4 metres, or one metre when accompanied by an adult.

Among the standout attractions are the “Moonrocket,” the last complete surviving example of its kind with rocket-shaped cars that swing and spin, and the “Chariot Racer,” a rare 1930s ride that remains the only one of its kind still in operation. Combining history, excitement, and traditional charm, the National Fairground Museum offers a memorable experience for the whole family.
