Things to do at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry review
The length of time you spend at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda, North Wales all depends on how many activities you take part in. This is a high adrenalin adventure day out with plenty of fun-filled activities. All activities have age restrictions.
Penrhyn Quarry tour – This is a tour on a big red truck that takes you on a tour of the historical quarry. It’s a great way to enjoy the sights plus you get some tea and cake. Minimum age of 5 years. The tour lasts for 1.5 hours.
Big red – This is the ultimate zip wire experience. You can fly up to almost 270 feet alongside a friend or family member on the largest mobile zip in the world. Minimum age 5 years, You get two gos on the zip wire.
Velocity 2 – This is a unique and exhilirating experience where you can get a real sense of what it’s like to be able to fly. On the fastest zip line in the world you can soar over the quarry at speeds of over 100mph. Minimum age 10 years. A session lasts for two hours.
Quarry karts – This is the UK’s only mountain kart experience. You can race down the 2km track with twists and turns, making sure you don’t hit any of the obstacles. It’s got the highest of all the age limits and you must be 15 or over to drive a quarry kart. You get 2 runs and the whole experiences lasts for around 2 hours.
Covid 19 – Please check the website or social media of an attraction before visiting. Many places may be open differently and some remain closed. Reviews do not mention all of these changes or possible price changes. Most places still require you to pre-book online in advance.
