The length of time you spend at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry in Bethesda, North Wales all depends on how many activities you take part in. This is an adrenaline-filled adventure day out with plenty of fun-filled activities. All activities have age restrictions.

Things to do at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry

Penrhyn Quarry tour – This is a tour on a big red truck that takes you on a tour of the historical quarry. It’s a great way to enjoy the sights plus you get some tea and cake. Minimum age of 5 years. The tour lasts for 1.5 hours.

Velocity 2 – This is a unique and exhilarating experience where you can get a real sense of what it’s like to be able to fly. On the fastest zip line in the world, you can soar over the quarry at speeds of over 100mph. Minimum age 10 years. A session lasts for two hours.

Quarry karts – This is the UK’s only mountain kart experience. You can race down the 2km track with twists and turns, making sure you don’t hit any of the obstacles. It’s got the highest of all the age limits and you must be 15 or over to drive a quarry kart. You get 2 runs and the whole experience lasts for around 2 hours.

Aero Explorer – This exciting new experience is perfect for adrenaline junkies who crave excitement. Aero Explorer will take you on a high-speed journey across the quarry like never before. Feel the anticipation building as you climb the two spiral towers before launching off and gliding across 400m of track.

As you go, you’ll soar above the rugged terrain, taking in breathtaking views of the quarry landscape. Whether you’re an experienced thrill-seeker or a first-time adventurer, this new experience will surely leave you feeling exhilarated and energised. 2 Rides, experience duration 45 mins. Minimum height 1.25m.
