Forestry England has launched their new family-friendly trail for 2022. You can join Superworm and his friends in a forest near you. Hip, Hip, Hooray for Superworm.
PLEASE NOTE THE SUPERWORM IS CURRENTLY NOT RUNNING – MOST FORESTRY ENGLAND FORESTS ARE CURRENTLY HOME TO A ZOG TRAIL FOR 2023.
All About the Superworm Trail
There are a number of trails across England which I will list below. You can follow the trail and discover amazing facts about this small but mighty creature from the popular book by Julia Donaldson.
The trail features brightly coloured illustrated panels and a trail pack that is full of fun activities. Along the trail you will get to meet some of your favourite characters. The trail will inspire your own little superheroes and inspire them to think about the everyday heroic feats of the minibeasts in the woods and the forests around us.
Don’t forget to pick up your trail pack from the forest’s visitor centre. It includes a mask, six crayons to complete rubbings along the way, fact cards, an activity sheet, stickers and a trail leaflet. The packs are available for £3.50 each (contactless payments).
You can also download free Superworm activity sheets. This will help keep your little ones busy. They can make their own bugs, sort animals in fun games and make their own forest cape.

They are asking families to keep 2m apart from other groups where possible on their trails.
