This is a round-up post for events this Halloween 2023 in the North West, for the October half-term. We’ve found events in all of the counties and there are plenty of ideas to keep you busy. Beeston Castle – Halloween Half Term – Tickets on sale – Cheshire

How much? Free for English Heritage members. Adult tickets are £10.00, children 5-17 £5.90 and under 5s are free. Other pricing options are available. Off-peak tickets may be cheaper.

Bewilderwood – Glowing Lantern Parade – Tickets on Sale – Cheshire

Known as the most fantastical time of the year, the Glorious Glowing Lantern Parade is an event not to be missed! See the woods in a whole new light as you venture into BeWILDerwood after hours. Discover mysterious paths exclusive to this event, watch the story unfold and be amazed by the magical light extravaganza. Make marvellous memories as a family, and don’t worry if you aren’t the bravest Boggle – it’s spooky, not scary!

Church Farm Events – Family Fright Festival – Tickets on sale – Cheshire

Come along for lots of spooky fun this October- fun activities, friendly animals and awesome views for you to see. A tractor ride is now included in the admission ticket price and there are three time slots to choose from.

If you’d like to take part in this during your visit then the Skull search activity pack is available to purchase. Using the puzzle page in your pack you can make your way around the farm to find and solve the clues and fill in the answers on your sheet. There are activities and games to play along the way and it’s great fun for the whole family. 

We grow over 3000 pumpkins here at Church Farm and you can choose one to purchase on your visit if you’d like to. Access to the pumpkin patch is for customers with Family Fright Festival tickets only.

​Pumpkins are not included in the admission price but are priced individually (while stocks last!) We will run out of pumpkins at some point so if pumpkin picking is important to you then please do book one of our earlier dates.

How much? Pumpkin festival Tickets are £15 per adult, £20 per child and under 1s are £5. Other events may have a different pricing structure.

Farmer Teds – Pumpkin Festival – Tickets on sale – Lancashire

Halloween has grown into the Pumpkin Festival due to popular demand. There are loads of spooky activities planned to help keep your little terrors entertained. Every child over 2 years will get a FREE Pumpkin to decorate as they please in our spooky pump carving zones and more.

Muncaster Castle – Halloween Festival – Tickets on sale – Cumbria

Family-friendly activities throughout the day. Shows, arts & crafts, BEE UNIQUE-themed activities and more. Are you brave enough to venture through the spooky maze?

Visit the castle laboratory and marvel at Dr. Frankenstein’s latest creation. But beware, for all is not as it seems! Amidst the creaking corridors and flickering candlelight, a pair of devious miscreants, Ronson and Crook, have found their way into the castle. Unbeknownst to Dr. Frankenstein, these sinister troublemakers have hatched a plan of their own. They seek to harness the doctor’s scientific knowledge for their wicked ambitions, threatening to unleash chaos upon the world. Can you help to thwart them?

Ribble Steam Railway – Spooky Trains – Tickets on sale – Lancashire

Come and join us for a weekend of ghostly goings on. Spooky things will be happening in our museum and on our trains. Dress as your favourite ghostly character and help us find the ghosts in the museum and on the trains.

Children can make their own “Pop Up” scary Halloween cards. Face painting is also available. Additional charges may apply.

Come and join us for our Pumpkin Picking extravaganza. Farm staff will be in fancy dress! Suitable for children of all ages, and pram-friendly.

Best Halloween Events Greater Manchester 2020

Tatton Park Farm – The Pumpkin Patch – Tickets on sale – Cheshire

Come down to the Farm to meet all your Farmyard favourites and then it’s off to search for your perfect pumpkin. You’ll choose your own pumpkin, from our field, so prepare to get your hands dirty! We’d love to see your spooky Halloween lantern designs, so don’t forget to share your pictures with us on social media once you get home!

Please dress appropriately for outdoor activities. Some areas of the farm are cobbled so sturdy footwear is essential. On arrival, the Farm team will direct you to our pumpkin patch.

To ensure there are plenty of pumpkins for our visitors – you will only be able to choose pumpkins from the patch that you have pre-paid for.

How much? Normal Farm entry applies plus £4 per pumpkin. You also have to pay to park.

Walby Farm Park – Pumpkin Picking – Tickets on sale – Cumbria

Best Halloween Events Cumbria 2020

Windmill Animal Farm – Pumpkin Picking Adventure – Tickets on sale – Lancashire

Farmer Chris has planted over 20,000 plants in our pumpkin fields, and they will be ready for your Halloween harvest this October. Each ticket includes a FULL DAY admission to Windmill Animal Farm and access to the famous Pumpkin Picking Adventure, where all visitors get to pick their own pumpkin from the fields that they are grown in.

You are welcome to access our pumpkin field at any time throughout your visit. One pumpkin per ticket is included. You are welcome to purchase more pumpkins on the day.
